The applicant<\/a> is the natural or legal person who applies for EAC<\/a> certification, EAC declaration<\/a> or product registration through an accredited certification body<\/a>. The applicant<\/a> acts as the officially responsible party before authorities, certification bodies and market surveillance<\/a> authorities within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU<\/a>) and is formally listed in the certificate or declaration. This role is highly important because the applicant<\/a> assumes legal responsibility for the submitted documentation and product conformity.<\/p>\n

The Technical Regulations of the EAEU<\/a> (TR EAEU<\/a> \/ TR CU) require the applicant<\/a> to be legally established within the Eurasian Economic Union. Manufacturers located outside the EAEU<\/a> therefore need an importer<\/a> or authorized representative within the EAEU<\/a>. Depending on the certification scheme<\/a>, the applicant<\/a> may be the manufacturer<\/a>, importer<\/a> or an authorized representative. Especially for serial production certification<\/a>, the correct applicant<\/a> structure is essential for the validity and usability of the certificate.<\/p>\n

In practice, the applicant<\/a> influences the entire EAC<\/a> conformity assessment<\/a> process – from the initial application and technical documentation<\/a> to customs clearance<\/a> and later market surveillance<\/a> activities. Incorrect applicant<\/a> information or an unsuitable legal structure often results in certification delays, customs issues or rejected certificates. Liability risks may also be directly connected to the applicant<\/a>.<\/p>\n
