Document review<\/a> is a central part of the EAC<\/a> conformity assessment<\/a> process and includes the formal and technical evaluation of all submitted documentation by the accredited certification body<\/a>. The purpose is to verify whether the technical documentation<\/a> is complete and complies with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU<\/a>). The review typically includes technical drawings, test reports, risk assessments, operating instructions<\/a>, safety justifications and conformity declarations.<\/p>\n

The Technical Regulations of the EAEU<\/a> (TR EAEU<\/a> \/ TR CU) precisely define which documents must be included in the technical file<\/a> and how they must be submitted. Certification bodies also verify compliance with applicable GOST standards<\/a>, technical requirements and the correct product classification<\/a>. In many cases, the documentation is additionally checked against the TN VED EAEU<\/a> customs classification code, as this determines the applicable conformity assessment<\/a> procedure.<\/p>\n

In practice, document review<\/a> is one of the most common causes of delays in the certification process. Incomplete documentation, incorrect translations, inconsistent technical information or non-compliant operating instructions<\/a> frequently result in additional questions or corrective requests from certification bodies. For complex products such as machinery, pressure equipment or industrial systems, properly structured technical documentation<\/a> is particularly important.<\/p>\n

The document review<\/a> process is usually completed before an EAC certificate<\/a> can be issued or an EAC declaration<\/a> can be registered. Only after successful evaluation of the documentation can the conformity document be officially issued. Therefore, the quality of the technical file<\/a> has a direct impact on the duration, cost and overall success of the certification procedure<\/a>.<\/p>\n
