The EAEU<\/a> (Eurasian Economic Union) is a common economic area with unified technical and regulatory requirements for trade between its member states: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. The primary goal of the union is to harmonize technical regulations, simplify international trade and create a common internal market. For manufacturers and exporters, the EAEU<\/a> is particularly important because an EAC certificate<\/a> or EAC declaration<\/a> issued within the union is generally valid throughout all member states.<\/p>\n

The legal framework of the EAEU<\/a> is based on unified Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (TR EAEU<\/a> \/ TR CU), which define safety requirements, testing procedures, marking obligations and conformity assessment<\/a> rules for various product categories. These Technical Regulations replaced many former national approval systems and created a common regulatory structure for the entire Eurasian market.<\/p>\n

Before the establishment of the EAEU<\/a>, product approvals were mainly based on national GOST standards<\/a> and country-specific certification systems. With the introduction of the Technical Regulations, a unified conformity assessment<\/a> system was established, which now forms the basis of EAC<\/a> certification. Nevertheless, GOST standards<\/a> still play an important role as technical norms used for testing and safety evaluations.<\/p>\n

Conformity assessment<\/a> within the EAEU<\/a> is performed by accredited certification bodies and testing laboratories listed in official union-wide registers. Certificates, declarations and registrations are centrally documented and recognized throughout the union. As a result, products that successfully complete EAC<\/a> conformity assessment<\/a> may generally circulate freely across all EAEU<\/a> member states.<\/p>\n

For manufacturers and exporters, correct product classification<\/a> within the EAEU<\/a> system is essential because it determines which Technical Regulations, certification procedures or registrations apply. Depending on the product, EAC<\/a> certificates, EAC<\/a> declarations, state registrations or additional testing procedures may be required.<\/p>\n
