Correct product marking is an important part of <a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/eac-certification\/\">EAC Certification and EAC Declaration<\/a> and an essential requirement for the lawful <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/placing-on-the-market\/\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Placing on the Market<\/a><\/strong> of products subject to mandatory marking.<\/p>\n<p>The applicable <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/marking-requirements\/\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Marking Requirements<\/a><\/strong> depend on the product type, its intended use and the applicable <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/technical-regulations\/\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Technical Regulations (TR EAEU \/ TR CU)<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the product, the following marking information may be required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>product designation, type and model,<\/li>\n<li>name and address of the <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/manufacturer\/\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>Manufacturer<\/a><\/strong> and, where applicable, other required information about economic operators,<\/li>\n<li>serial number, batch number or other identification details,<\/li>\n<li>essential technical characteristics,<\/li>\n<li>date of manufacture, where required,<\/li>\n<li>warnings and safety instructions,<\/li>\n<li>product-specific markings and symbols,<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/eac-uniform-mark\/\">EAC Marking<\/a>, where prescribed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Product marking serves in particular to ensure clear <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/product-identification\/\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Product Identification<\/a><\/strong>, traceability and the provision of safety-related information, as well as to facilitate the verification of <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/product-compliance\/\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Product Compliance<\/a><\/strong> by the competent authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The applicable regulations may specify requirements concerning the content, language, legibility, durability and positioning of markings. Depending on the product and applicable regulations, the required information must be marked on the product itself or on a <strong>Nameplate<\/strong>, or provided on the packaging or in accompanying documents.<\/p>\n<p>Of particular importance is <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/eac-marking\/\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>EAC Marking<\/a><\/strong>. It indicates that the product complies with the relevant requirements of the applicable Technical Regulations and has successfully completed the prescribed <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/conformity-assessment\/\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Conformity Assessment<\/a><\/strong> procedure.<\/p>\n<p>EAC Marking may generally only be applied after the required conformity assessment has been successfully completed. Depending on the product, an <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/eac-certificate\/\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>EAC Certificate<\/a><\/strong> or a registered <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/eac-declaration\/\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>EAC Declaration<\/a><\/strong> may be required.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to EAC Marking, further product-specific information and markings may be prescribed. Electrical equipment is also subject to product-specific marking and safety information requirements. For explosion-protected products, the Ex marking must comply with the applicable requirements and provide the necessary information about the explosion protection characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>The information on the product and its nameplate must be consistent with the underlying conformity documentation. In particular, the following details should be considered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>product designation, type and model,<\/li>\n<li>manufacturer information and identification numbers,<\/li>\n<li>technical characteristics and safety information,<\/li>\n<li>EAC Certificate or EAC Declaration,<\/li>\n<li>test documentation and <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/technical-documentation\/\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Technical Documentation<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Clear Product Identification is particularly important. The product actually supplied must be clearly attributable to the product described in the relevant <strong><a class=\"glossaryLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easygost.com\/en\/glossary\/proof-of-conformity\/\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Proof of Conformity<\/a><\/strong>. Differences in model designations, technical specifications or manufacturer details may lead to questions from the competent authorities or regulatory compliance issues.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequent product modifications may also affect marking obligations.
