Product Registration (SGR Certificate) within the EAEU

A product registration (SGR Certificate) may be required for specific goods before they can be legally placed on the market within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

This typically applies to:

products that have not previously been placed on the EAEU market;
products belonging to regulated product categories;
newly developed products with characteristics not previously registered.

Certain product groups may require registration where there is a potential impact on human health or safety, including for example:

infant nutrition, dietary products, food supplements, genetically modified ingredients, food additives, fortified foods and other novel food products;
household chemical products, disinfectants, pesticides and water treatment agents;
cosmetics, perfumery products, tobacco products and oral hygiene products.

The above list represents only selected examples. The actual requirement depends on product classification and the applicable regulatory framework.
