EAEU
The EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) is a common economic area with unified technical and regulatory requirements for trade between its member states: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. The primary goal of the union is to harmonize technical regulations, simplify international trade and create a common internal market. For manufacturers and exporters, the EAEU is particularly important because an EAC certificate or EAC declaration issued within the union is generally valid throughout all member states.
The legal framework of the EAEU is based on unified Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (TR EAEU / TR CU), which define safety requirements, testing procedures, marking obligations and conformity assessment rules for various product categories. These Technical Regulations replaced many former national approval systems and created a common regulatory structure for the entire Eurasian market.
Before the establishment of the EAEU, product approvals were mainly based on national GOST standards and country-specific certification systems. With the introduction of the Technical Regulations, a unified conformity assessment system was established, which now forms the basis of EAC certification. Nevertheless, GOST standards still play an important role as technical norms used for testing and safety evaluations.
Conformity assessment within the EAEU is performed by accredited certification bodies and testing laboratories listed in official union-wide registers. Certificates, declarations and registrations are centrally documented and recognized throughout the union. As a result, products that successfully complete EAC conformity assessment may generally circulate freely across all EAEU member states.
For manufacturers and exporters, correct product classification within the EAEU system is essential because it determines which Technical Regulations, certification procedures or registrations apply. Depending on the product, EAC certificates, EAC declarations, state registrations or additional testing procedures may be required.
We support manufacturers and exporters in the complete regulatory classification of products within the EAEU system and coordinate all required certification, declaration and registration procedures. This ensures legally compliant and reliable market access throughout the Eurasian Economic Union.
