EAC Marking

The EAC marking is the official conformity mark of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and confirms that a product complies with the applicable Technical Regulations of the EAEU. The abbreviation EAC stands for “Eurasian Conformity.” Products bearing the EAC marking may legally be placed on the market within the EAEU, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. For many product categories, the marking is mandatory and required for import, customs clearance and commercial distribution.

The EAC marking may only be applied after the required conformity assessment procedure has been successfully completed. This requires either a valid EAC certificate or a registered EAC declaration. The Technical Regulations of the EAEU (TR EAEU / TR CU) define which products require EAC marking and specify the formal marking requirements, including minimum size, visibility, readability and permanent placement on the product, nameplate or packaging.

The EAC marking demonstrates to authorities, customs officials and customers that the product complies with the safety and quality requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union. Missing, incorrect or unauthorized EAC marking is considered a regulatory violation and may result in customs delays, import restrictions, market surveillance actions or sales bans. Such issues frequently occur with machinery, electrical products, pressure equipment and industrial systems.

In practice, EAC marking is closely connected to technical documentation, product classification and the selected conformity assessment procedure. Incorrect product classification or use of the wrong certification scheme often leads to improper marking. Therefore, EAC marking should only be applied after a complete regulatory assessment has been carried out.

We support manufacturers and exporters in fully implementing EAC marking requirements — from product classification and EAC certification or declaration procedures to the preparation of nameplates, packaging labels and accompanying documentation. This ensures legally compliant and reliable market access within the EAEU.
