Product Safety

Product Safety refers to the condition in which a product does not present unacceptable risks to people, property, or the environment when used as intended or under reasonably foreseeable conditions. Product Safety is one of the primary objectives of the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and forms the foundation of most EAC conformity assessment procedures.

Within the EAEU, manufacturers must demonstrate that their products comply with applicable safety requirements. This applies in particular to machinery, electrical equipment, pressure equipment, personal protective equipment, industrial installations, and many other product categories.

Product Safety is typically demonstrated through:

Safety requirements are defined by the applicable Technical Regulations of the EAEU (TR EAEU / TR CU). Depending on the product category, additional assessments such as EMC testing, pressure testing, material analysis, or explosion protection evaluations may be required.

A high level of Product Safety not only protects users and operators but also reduces liability risks, recall costs, and regulatory issues. It is also a key requirement for obtaining EAC Certificates and EAC Declarations.

Common causes of safety deficiencies include inadequate risk assessments, design flaws, incomplete documentation, and insufficient testing.

For manufacturers and exporters, Product Safety is therefore a critical element of successful EAC certification strategies and sustainable market access within the Eurasian Economic Union.

We support companies in assessing, documenting, and demonstrating Product Safety while ensuring compliance with all applicable EAEU regulatory requirements.
