Test Report

A test report is the official technical document issued by an accredited testing laboratory that records the performed tests, applied testing methods and achieved measurement results. Within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the test report is one of the most important documents in EAC conformity assessment procedures and frequently serves as the primary basis for issuing an EAC Certificate or registering an EAC Declaration.

The Eurasian Economic Union includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. For many product categories, the Technical Regulations of the EAEU (TR EAEU / TR CU) require mandatory laboratory testing. The results of these tests are documented in standardized test reports and subsequently evaluated by certification bodies during conformity assessment procedures.

A test report typically includes information about test samples, applied testing methods, testing conditions, measurement results, referenced standards and conformity evaluations. It also contains details regarding the accredited laboratory, measurement equipment used and testing dates. This ensures traceability and regulatory validity of the testing process.

Only test reports issued by accredited laboratories are accepted as valid evidence by certification bodies within the EAEU. The accreditation scope of the laboratory must exactly correspond to the applicable Technical Regulations and testing methods. Test reports from non-accredited laboratories frequently result in rejection of the certification procedure.

Test reports form an essential part of the technical documentation and are commonly submitted together with risk assessments, safety analyses, operating instructions and technical specifications. They serve as official evidence of product conformity for authorities, certification bodies and market surveillance organizations.

Depending on the product category, test reports may document electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), pressure resistance, material properties, explosion protection, temperature behavior or mechanical strength. Detailed test reports are particularly mandatory for safety-critical products.

In practice, incomplete test reports, incorrect testing methods or missing regulatory standard references are among the most common causes of delays during certification procedures. Testing performed on non-representative samples or according to outdated technical standards may also create significant regulatory problems.

We support manufacturers and exporters in the complete organization and evaluation of test reports within the EAEU. Our services include selection of accredited laboratories, coordination of testing procedures, regulatory review of test reports, technical documentation and professional translations. This ensures a reliable and legally compliant certification process throughout the Eurasian Economic Union.
