Factory Production Control
Factory production control refers to the evaluation and monitoring of a manufacturer’s production conditions as part of the EAC conformity assessment process. Its purpose is to ensure that not only a single tested sample, but the entire ongoing production consistently complies with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Factory production control is particularly important for serial production certification procedures.
The regulatory basis is defined by the Technical Regulations of the EAEU (TR EAEU / TR CU) and the applicable certification schemes. During the assessment, an accredited certification body evaluates production processes, quality assurance procedures, incoming goods inspections, final product inspections and organizational manufacturing controls. Depending on the product category, the assessment may be conducted on-site at the manufacturing facility or as a document-based evaluation.
For machinery, industrial equipment, electrical products, pressure equipment and explosion-protected devices in particular, factory production control is closely linked to product safety requirements. Certification bodies assess whether the production system is capable of continuously manufacturing products that remain compliant with applicable technical standards and regulations. An effective quality management system can significantly simplify the certification process.
Factory production control is often part of serial production certificates with multi-year validity periods. During the validity period, regular inspection controls or inspection audits are carried out to monitor ongoing production consistency. If serious non-conformities are identified, the certificate may be suspended or withdrawn.
In practice, incomplete process documentation, missing quality records or insufficient production controls are among the most common issues encountered during factory production control assessments. Early preparation of production documentation and quality procedures is therefore essential for successful certification.
We support manufacturers and exporters in preparing for factory production control procedures and coordinate communication with accredited certification bodies. Our services include review of quality documentation, preparation of technical files and organizational support during audits and inspection controls. This creates the foundation for legally compliant and long-term EAC serial production certification.
